Kids are busy catching up on their studies since their return to school and YOU are helping to cover the costs!
The closure of schools due to COVID put them behind in their work and now they are diligently working to catch up.
Some schools have required new special classes to make up for the time lost.
Since classes were cancelled for such a lengthy period, schools throughout Kenya have added one more term to the year.
Prior to COVID, the school year expanded over an entire year beginning in January and ending in December with a few weeks off in between terms. There were three terms per year.
Upon returning to school after the closures, the days off between terms have shortened significantly to allow four terms to be held within a one year period…three terms for the school year, and one term for the beginning of the next grade level.
Though this new schedule added another term, amounting to an unexpected tuition cost as the next grade level began, your continued support has helped to cover the increased fees and tuitions.
Your contributions are helping to keep students in the classroom and learning.
Thank you for your faithful support! It is impacting lives!
