12 years old Muhammed continues his education as a secondary school student. He and his family came to Türkiye from Syria when he was one and a half years old. He says that although his family faced challenges when they arrived in Türkiye, he could learn Turkish readily thanks to his Turkish neighbors.
Muhammed likes swimming and drawing and opposes violence against children. He says that the situation of child workers upsets him and he wishes them to continue school. He also wants all children to be treated equally and well.
Stating that his family consists of 5 people and he has 2 siblings, Muhammed adds that it is nice to be an older brother and that his brothers consult him on many issues and he likes this situation.
Muhammed expresses that he likes mathematics the most and especially multiplication, he also likes sports lessons and is on the school's football team. He says that his relations with his friends are good and he loves them. He adds that his friends make him laugh and are always there for him, besides he gets along well with his Syrian and Turkish friends.
Muhammed wants to work on cars and become a car engineer in the future, he believes that he will be a successful business person in the future because he likes his lessons.
Stating that his dreams include driving cars, having more parks and green spaces and owning a phone, Muhammed expresses his dreams with the following sentences: “For example, people should not discriminate against anyone because of their appearance, like you are fat or thin, you are black, you are of another color. No one should pluck the flowers or harm nature.”
Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants(ASAM) has provided him with musical support. He learned songs, play drums and guitar thanks to Asam’s support. Muhammed says that he made friends here and it was exciting to be on stage in the choir.
