Dear Project Supporters,
Thanks to GlobalGiving, the Creating Pathways Centre is offering hope to pregnant girls who are out of school. The girls are receiving training on a wide range of topics to ensure that they do not fall back in their education.
This project’s beneficiaries prepared special Thank You signs to express their appreciation and gratitude as shown in the photos.
Harriette, one of the first trainees to attend the new Centre explains in a video what she has learned and how the training has helped her.
Unfortunately, during the Ebola crisis, sexual assault and transactional sex among underage girls in Sierra Leone was on the rise. Some girls resorted to selling sex to pay for necessities such as food since their parents or other caregivers could no longer provide for them, or were dead due to the Ebola epidemic.
