This project will provide writing materials like books, pencils, and school bags for about 400 children from the orphanage within a year of their academic session. These children are drawn from different orphanages from the poorest areas in the southern part of Nigeria. An academic session is of three terms, and three Calender months make a school term.
There are hundreds of children in different orphanages in Edo state who are currently out of school,roaming the streets as a result of no educational materials and infrastructure . The state Government is not doing enough to address the problem, it is evident that these children will not have access to these materials due to high level of corruption and bottle neck leaders who curb public funds for personal gain. This project will affect over 400 children within the state.
Lashellaj Care World Initiative had been providing nutrition, clothing, to the less privileged children. This project we are embarking on will make educational materials readily available to these children which will compel them to become focused with educational activities. It will enlighten,encourage them and their guardians on the importance of education that will help reduce crime and disorderliness in the neighborhood.
