Since our Early Childhood Development Programme started back in April of this year, we've been doing a lot of brainstorming and planning on how we can expand this programme and our ever-growing Community Centre to accommodate more children. Our team has come up with some incredible ideas, so we're excited to get the planning stages finalized and the building underway!
Our plan is to build the ECD Centre adjacent to our exisiting Community Centre so that children in our ECD Programme can still have access to all of the fun stuff at Thanda (skatepark, chickens, library, & art centre) but have a separate space that is just for them. We want this space to be engaging, fun, and therapeutic for kids so we're dreaming BIG (as usual)! We've got visions of swing sets, jungle gyms, splash pools, and sand pits dancing around our creative minds - and that's just the start ;) We have a lot of work to do and a lot of details to iron out, but here's a sneak peek at one of the sketches we designed. Excited? So are we!
