A day in the life of an ECD child includes breakfast, cognitive activities like puzzles, arts and crafts, learning time in accordance with the curriculum themes, inside and outside play time, lunch time, story time and of course, nap time. In order to ensure that the children get the most out of the above activities, we require supplies like tables and chairs that are age appropriate, mattresses for the children to sleep on, plus books and puzzles for them to learn from. Thanks to your generosity, we are able to provide the children with these crucial learning supplies, and also able to provide them with nutritious meals to keep them healthy.
We would not be able to provide quality care and a heavy focus on development without your continued support. This early intervention provides a lasting impact on the youngest members of the community and ensures that the children feel safe and loved and develop physically, emotionally and intellectually. We have also started provided training to the children's guardians so their learning can continue at home.
We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and kindness, and although we will be closing down this particular project page because we have reached our project goal, we ask that you please continue to support us. By the end of June 2017, the ECD classrooms will be finished and we will require additional support to furnish the classrooms and continue to provide educational supplies like books and toys, provide nutritious meals and to support an ECD child through our programme for 1 year.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
With love and gratitude,
Thanda
