El Nino Affects on Small farmers Near Jati areas District Sujawal
Association for Humanitarian Development is working with small farmers since last 10 years, the disasters, cyclone and floods hit this region several times, the crops, lands and houses of farmers demolished many times during 1999 Cyclone Coastal Jati, 2000 to 2008 water shortage, 2010 to 2012 heavy floods & now again Drought due to water shortage, the climate change brings no of difficulties for poor rural families, AHD now trying to help farmers to equip them with skills of start smart agriculture at their village level.
AHD trained hundreds of farmers and now some 155 farmers trained to start work on water conservation and start sustainable solutions.

Young Girls supporting El Nino Adaptation Program of AHD
About 47 young girls form 02 villages adopted Climate Change project activities at their household level and planted trees at their house ground floor, AHD team provided them fruit trees and forest trees to them to save their future from disasters and drought as well floods. Rich tree plantation also helps in soil erosion and flooding situation, trees also can provide them with wood and shelter during summer season.
The project title El Nino & Climate change adaptation is very attractive for rural families and their women and young girls also contributing to their project

150 Poor Families repaired house to face incoming Monsoon
AHD working day and night in more than 30 villages, some 150 families repaired their houses and now ready for their family to save themselves form incoming monsoon season, during the 2nd quarter of 2018 AHD female staff visited 30 new villages and all village families provided with awareness and alarming news of incoming monsoon and now about 150 families repaired their houses at their household level during April to June 2018.
AHD planned to visit more 20 villages in next quarter and help them to repair their houses
