33 new low cost shelter made by Flood Victims
Flood Victims now preparing new mud made houses in different areas of Matli, Tando Ghulam Ali and Gularchi areas affected by floods 2012, 2013 and 2014. About 33 families made new mud made houses as per AHD female staff motivation and consecutive visits for their houses repair. Still hundreds of families do not repair their houses and during rain their houses and families facing problems. We at AHD want to visit more villages and help more families to prepare such mud made houses, traditional houses can help them to save them from incoming floods or heavy rain spells.
We need more help to visit and support more 500 families during next quarter Oct – Dec 2016

Some 29 houses needs to re-build before incoming Monsoon Season
AHD working in rural villages of Matli & Badin district, during the visit of AHD Shelter team in villages near Matli the status of houses is very poor in maintenance and the fear that incoming monsoon will affect them and poor women and children will face difficult situation during monsoon.
We at AHD share update that we need urgent support to help poor families in roof maintenance and some mud plaster needed on houses. In this regard US $ 350 needed to support hem in roof and mud plaster by them. AHD will pay only small porting to poor women that they can be able to purchases roof material and wood if any.

A Poor farming family prepared low cost shelter mud made houses near Matli
AHD female staff conducted meeting in different household families during 15th to 20th February 2016 to know the update situation of houses constructed by poor village families through orientation session and meeting by AHD staff. Some 23% families repaired their houses and some of them well repaired and extended houses in village of Chotho Kolhi near Matli to save their women and children from upcoming summer season and moon soon season as well.
AHD staff very happy to see the progress of poor farming communities and their interest to update their houses for the next moon soon season
