Climate Change activities by small farmer Pakistan

Dear Donors,

Thanks for donating US $ 185, so far this project, we conducted survey and provided awareness of safe drinking water, health and hygiene and local resources mobilization, we at AHD also creating awareness among poor village groups how to handle with future disasters if any.

we at AHD looking to utilize the future funds for Disaster Risk Reduction program, will be implemented in some 30 poor villages for the help of villages groups to take measures to deal with future disasters. Thatta and Badin districts both situated on the delta plain, near sea where sea intrusion and floods and cyclone are frequent. The past history:

1. Cyclone 1999
2. Floods 2001
3. Drought 2001-2003 (water shortage)
4. Floods 2003
5. Drought  2003-2007 (water shortage)
6. Rain Floods 2007
7. Drought   2008-2009 (water shortage)
8. Supper floods 2010
9. Supper floods 2011

We want to tackle this critical issue through our awareness campaign and will conduct awareness and meetings over disaster risk reduction and bring new and local techniques to build the capacity of poor villagers for the survival in the disaster prone area

Association for Humanitarian Development (AHD) is a  social community based organization was established in December  2001-2002 and registered under the Societies Registration Act: XXI of   1860 on 17 May 2003.

The main Objective of the AHD is to work for the  Peace, Justice, Harmony and equality through the participation of most  disadvantaged  and marginalized communities for the sustainability as a  whole.
 
AHD is striving to support 15,000 flood affected families in Tando Bago,  Pangrio, & Talhar, Towns of District Badin of Sindh Province in  Pakistan. The total amount will be US $794,117 only.  If we will be able to receive requested amount, than we can be able to support 15,000 families looking for the support in Badin Pakistan.

Needed for the provision of 20 days worth of food package, mosquito nets,and water cooler. The estimated cost Per Family Package is PAK RUPEES 4,500 only which includes Flour/Atta  20 kg, Sugar 10 kg, Rice 10 kg, Cooking oil 5 kg, tea 1 kg, Dry/Powder Milk 2 kg, other necessary food items, and mosquito net.
