This project is to support 100 older persons in Uganda, Luweero District Bamunanika county to get access to hydro electricity power. The Government of Uganda has introduced rural electrification scheme, however electricity is only distributed to homes which have proper wiring in their houses 100 older persons in Bamunanika,kakoola have not benefited in the scheme since they can not afford proper electricity wiring. The cost of wiring each house is $100 out of 100 homes totaling to $10,000.
The Government of Uganda has introduced rural electrification, but not all homesteads on the village have benefited since they can not afford proper electric wiring in their houses to get a certificate of proper wiring and initial payment to Uganda electricity board. 100 older persons of Kakoola have been affected since their source of income is limited. They lost their children due to wars and HIV deceases and now are ill feed, ill housed and suffer from many diseases and falls at nigh.
The project shall carry out proper electricity wiring and provide certificate of proper wiring in the houses plus paying the initial deposits for the first four months to Uganda Electricity board. The older persons shall then get electricity power in their houses to get proper lighting, communication and cooking equipment. The older persons shall be able to a void falls at night. The older persons shall be able to boil water and then avoid diseases.
The older persons shall get electricity in their homes to get proper lights. The older persons shall be able to get proper communication by using radios and televisions plus charging of their telephones. The older persons shall avoid falls at night and prevent diseases. The environment shall be protected since the older persons shall be able to use electricity for cooking. longevity shall be improved. Improved education by the grand children since they can be able study at night.
