One hundred twenty-nine monthly food deliveries have been made since January thanks to your help!
Widows alone, or widows raising children, each depended on getting a delivery of food or being hungry. This was only possible with your support. Thank you!
Carol is raising four children on her own. To provide food for her family, she does laundry for others. Sadly, work isn’t always available and then they don’t eat. The monthly food delivery ensures there is food in their home.
Seventy-four-year-old Grandma Serphina is a small farmer. During the rainy season she was able to raise enough food for her grandchildren. Now that the drought has taken over, all her food has been consumed and there are no additional crops to feed them. Thanks to your help, food is being delivered to this family so they are well fed.
Agnetta was a widow at an early age and left alone to raise her children. Life was a struggle. Today, now at 70-years-old she is raising four of her grandchildren and life is still a struggle. They are missing many basics in their home, but thanks to you they now have food. No more sleeping hungry.
These are just three of the many deliveries made to families struggling to provide food for themselves or their families. I wish you could see the looks on their faces when the team shows up at their homes with food packages.
Some situations are so dire the team is moved to tears…tears of sorrow for the conditions they see, and tears of joy experiencing the sheer joy of the widows receiving the food.
