The Situation is Truly Dire!!

Our EleSense Tech Team on the Ground

I recently visited two locations where we are installing our hugely effective EleSense technology, harnessing the power of Artifical Intelligence to alert train pilots and prevent tragedies. And let me tell you... the intervention is desperately needed.

The heartbreaking tragic story of a pregnant elephant who was hit and killed by a speeding train in August 2023 sheds light on the precarious lives of elephants who are losing their forests at an unprecedented rate to sustain the burgeoning human population across India.  “Death trap” is how one of the forest rangers described this place inside the Chapramari Forest of the northern region of West Bengal state where a pregnant elephant was hit and killed by a speeding train. But we are taking urgent steps to curb elephant deaths in the deadly train tracks.

I also visited the cremation ground of the three elephants who were brutally killed by a reckless speeding train inside the Buxa Tiger Reserve in West Bengal. And this is exactly where we are installing our cutting edge technology-EleSense that averted more than 600 elephant deaths in 2023.  Watch the videos I've shared below, listen to how our work is offering HOPE to the endangered Asian elephants of India, and meet our team on the ground that is working to save our precious elephants.

Given the appalling number of elephant deaths on the deadly Indian railways, we’re launching the EleSense phases 2 and 3 concurrently - inside the Chapramari Forest and Buxa Tiger Reserve where three elephants including a newborn baby were hit and killed in November 2023.
