Dear Supporters,
Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in our efforts to fight hunger in Nigeria. While we have not yet received tangible donations, your encouragement and belief in this cause inspire us to move forward.
Across rural Nigeria, 70% of families rely on small farms, yet many youth lack the tools, funding, and training to make farming viable. As a result, hunger persists, and young people struggle with unemployment despite having access to land. Rising food prices and limited access to fresh crops make daily meals a challenge for thousands of households.
Our project, “Eliminate Hunger in Nigeria Through Youth Farming,” aims to empower 3,000 youth with small farming grants, seeds, tools, fertilizers, and access to land. They will cultivate maize, yam, beans, cassava, vegetables, and other cash crops. Each young farmer will be able to feed their family while selling surplus crops at local markets. This not only improves food availability for over 15,000 households but also provides income that can sustain and grow their farms in the future.
The program begins with practical farming training and mentorship, ensuring that youth gain the knowledge and confidence to manage their plots effectively. Subsequently, these trained farmers can form cooperatives to buy inputs in bulk, increase production, and expand access to local markets. As incomes rise, youth will have the opportunity to lease or purchase more land, creating a long-term cycle of food security, economic growth, and reduced youth unemployment in rural communities.
With your support, even a small contribution can help us launch the first cycle of this project, turning idle land and untrained youth into thriving farms that feed families and strengthen communities.
Thank you for believing in this mission.
