We have created the campaign to support relief and recovery efforts for the immediate and urgent needs in the region. We monitor the impact on affected communities and work with partners at Afet Platformu (Disaster Network) to allocate aids and supports to where they're needed most. Initially, the aids and supports helps first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for winter clothes, food, heater, blanket, sanitary pad, diaper, clean water, medicine, and shelter.
Although it is not possible to prevent the occurrence of earthquakes, it is possible to respond quickly and mitigate damages and effects. Needs Map continues to work to prepare regions and communities for disaster response; to identify the impact of disasters on people, economic activities and the most affected and vulnerable households and to improve and rebuild resilience with the experience gained in the disaster response process which it is a part.
