Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting the Emergency Food for Displaced Tiv Communities in Benue project. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and concern for families who have been forced from their homes and are struggling to meet their most basic needs.
Many displaced families in Benue have lost access to their farms, food stores, livelihoods, and sources of income. After fleeing violence, many now live in temporary shelters, camps, or with host families who are themselves facing economic challenges. For many households, obtaining enough food for daily survival has become increasingly difficult.
We are grateful for the donations received so far. However, the amount currently available is not enough to begin food procurement and distribution activities. Additional support is needed before emergency food supplies can be purchased, packaged, transported, and delivered to affected families.
This project seeks to provide food assistance to vulnerable households displaced by the ongoing crisis. The planned food packs will contain staple items that can help families prepare regular meals and reduce the immediate effects of hunger. Priority will be given to households facing the greatest hardship, including families with young children, pregnant women, elderly persons, and individuals with health challenges.
Food insecurity remains one of the most urgent concerns within displaced communities. Without adequate nutrition, children become more vulnerable to illness, adults struggle to care for their families, and existing health conditions can worsen. Emergency food support can provide relief while families work toward rebuilding their lives.
We remain committed to helping these communities and continue seeking the resources required to launch the first phase of this intervention. As progress is made, we look forward to sharing updates, photographs, and information from the communities that will benefit.
Thank you for standing with displaced families during a time of great uncertainty and hardship.
Warm regards,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
