Project Report | Dec 31, 2009
Thank you for helping us respond!

By Heidi Saravia | Development Officer

International Medical Corps responded quickly to the December 2008 conflict in Gaza, which killed 1,300 people, injured 5,300 more, and displaced more than 80,000. We deployed five medical teams to address civilians’ health needs, including primary health care, psychosocial support services, and mental health programs. We also sent in eight containers of emergency medical supplies that could each treat 10,000 patients. With your help, we were able to provide life-saving medical care and mental health support to those in need.
