The Covid-19 pandemic is affecting everyone globally and make everyone daily life a lot harder especially for the impoverish families in Tbong Khmum province in Cambodia. Despite there is no lock down but many of them facing shortage of foods and they do not have much fund It made hard for the impoverished families since their employment have been cut and their children are sleeping hungry without food. At least 100 families that their incomes have been affected and needing our emergency support
Many felt depressed and stranded at the community and keep themselves isolated and the government assistance is limited while their children are hungry. Their means of living have been diminished a government order to close down some businesses, that likely to expose to the virus in order to curb the spread of the Covid-19. They are depending on their living on the daily wages but since businesses close down their employers could not afford to pay them and many families went empty stomach.
Seeing such hardship we request for an emergency assistance to help 100 households to enable them to have food for at least once month, enabling them to go through the critical circumstance and hopefully after the emergency relief everything will be going back to normal, each family will receive: - Rice ration (30Kg each) - Fish Sauce (1 litre each) - Soap: (2 bars each) - Detergent (1 package each) - Seeds ($15.00 each) - Cooking oil (1 litre each) - Canned fish ( 24 cans each) - Iodized Salt
This project will prevent 100 household and approximately 400 children from hunger during the Covid-19 pandemic. At the end of the project - they will understand the risk and take precautions and avoid gathering. They will understand basic health and have opportunity to earn income from seeds that provided by the project.
