Emergency Relief in Palestine

There is a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza due to conflict with Israel. 85% percent of Gaza’s population has been displaced from their homes, and are currently living in temporary shelters and refugee camps. 90% of Gaza’s population is food insecure, two million people facing starvation and catastrophic hunger. In these cramped and desperate conditions, the spread of disease has increased and there is an enormous need for humanitarian assistance.

Anera has long term staff on the ground and we are working to address the hunger, health, housing, and psychological needs of the people of Gaza. Since October, Anera has delivered over 14 million meals through food parcels, vegetable baskets, and hot meals. We have provided over 24,000 hygiene kits and almost 3 medical million treatments through medical supplies and pop-up clinics. To survive the winter, 14,000 blankets have been distributed and thousands of tents and mattresses are being shipped through Egypt right now. Lastly, over 100 psychosocial support activities and counseling sessions have been held with hopes of raising children's spirits and consoling those suffering this horrific reality.

With over 100 days of conflict, the situation is growing worse each day. Everyday, families are struggling to acquire food, water, medicine, and shelter.  Anera is determined to meet the growing needs of Gaza.
