Thank you for your generous donation to Chennai flood relief work through esteemed organization globalgiving.
CHHASE has been working in natural calamities for the last 15 years and we are always with our communities for their developments and helping them in critical juncture. As a local NGO, when the floods hit Chennai and it’s suburban, we prepared ourselves to provide immediate relief like food, drinking water, medicines, biscuits and tarpaulins to provide temporary shelter to safe guard them from rains.We operated from our local office, from where we could reach Tiruvallur, kancheepuram and Chennai districts easily.
CHHASE focused on the neglected places, communities, their needs and committed to take up relief & rehabilitation work for long- term. We have studied situation and have reached out to more than 10000 families and provided immediate emergency relief in 5 district and we understood that these areas would need greater attention and supplies in future as well. Our work in disasters is focused on addressing unreachable areas, where materials are not available and isolated communities who are mostly left out in the mainstream of relief work because of reaching these places were not easy since roads were breached or cut off.
As we are a rural area NGO, at present, We are receiving requests from many remote rural areas for long term relief work and from many schools for educational support .

Kindly extend your support to continue our long term rebuilding of relief to the victims of chennai torrential rains, though it is not possible for us to replace the lost belonging. But some extend, we will help them to recover.
