We desperately need all of our attention and support for the children who lost their precious homes in a moment. Continuous support is essential for children and families greatly affected by unexpected large-scale forest fires to overcome difficulties and recover. Your precious donation is supported by emergency living expenses, support for improving the residential environment, and psychological and emotional treatment expenses for families of children affected by forest fires.
In March 2025, simultaneous large-scale wildfires in various parts of Gyeongsang Province engulfed numerous houses, villages, and buildings. The forest fires lasted from several hours to more than two days, and six areas, including Ulju in Ulsan, Uiseong in Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Hadong in Gyeongsangnam-do, were declared special disaster zones. The forest fires, which were carried in an instant by strong winds, forced residents to flee without even carrying a small load.
The flames went beyond the mountains to homes, schools, and childcare facilities. Children in childcare facilities were rushed to temporary shelters and churches. The children, who have barely recovered, do not have enough towels, toothbrushes, and clothes to change, and they are having difficulties in their daily lives due to fear. This project plans to support emergency living expenses and residential environment improvement expenses for families of children affected by forest fires.
In this project, emergency living stabilization funds will be provided to families and facilities of children affected by forest fires to stabilize their livelihoods and improve the residential environment so that affected children, families, and facilities can quickly return to their daily lives. In addition, in the mid-to-long-term, we plan to support psychological treatment costs so that affected children can find emotional stability not only economically but also psychologically.
