In autumn 2019, two powerful typhoons made landfall in Japan and caused deadly damages across Japan. This project will help typhoon-struck communities rebuild their homes and recover their livelihood. In Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, approximately 9000 houses were flooded and destroyed totally or partially. The PBV has been working in communities in Iwaki to provide most needed support to those affected by the flooding. Please lend your hand to help them for full recovery.
In October 2019, a large parts of Japan experienced landfall of typhoons and heavy rains. Thousands of houses were destroyed and infrastructure was damaged due to flooding and landslides. Three months have passed since the disaster, but many are still left in an evacuation shelter in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture.
This project aims to lend hands to the residents in the typhoon struck areas in Japan. In particular, the funding will allow our organization to carry out various relief programs, including hot-meal distribution, house-cleaning, support for improved living condition at the evacuation shelter, as well as help the residents rebuilding communities through enhancement of communication between the residents.
Capacity building for the local residents and members of public/ private sectors for enhanced preparedness for the future disasters. Help the community members build resilience against the future disasters.
