Armed conflict in South Sudan since December 2013, has destroyed much of the WASH infrastructure, the resultant displacement of women and girls has also led to increased sexual and gender-based violence due to Women and girls inhabiting Open spaces thus predisposing them to GBV. The cumulative effects of years of armed conflict in South Sudan since December 2013, has destroyed WASH infrastructure and the displacements caused by conflict also led to increased sexual and gender-based violence due to women and girls seeking shelter in locations where there was no proper protective shelter.
The Funds requested will be used to cover transport, administrative and operation costs as well as facilitating the following activities to mitigate WASH needs and also GBV prevention and response in WASH in the targeted location: 1 . Provide timely, equitable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene for IDPs, host communities and returnees (Rehabilitate 24 Water Points):
