Dear Family, Friends and Supporters of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation,
Since you last heard from us we have trained two additional cohorts on food systems approach and coping with the rising costs of inputs making in total three cohorts trained thus far so that we can reduce the food crisis and shortage of food supply in our community Kano, Nigeria.
The recent removal of fuel subsidy has brought in rising costs of inputs and thus women and youths in the business space are finding it difficult to cope hence our inclusion of how our women and youths can cope in their businesses. We thus started a systems approach of training of our youths and young women teaching them financial management, taxation issues, and how to navigate through the storm.
The training is a hybrid program and for the last two we had was on physical and hybrid. The first batch of trainees has shown that they have started implementing what they have learnt and thus using the skill of business plan management on their agribusiness.
The bottom to top model approach we used has proven to be effective as from the monitoring activities we recently conducted it shows that the program has ensured they have structures in place, value addition to their products and services and accessed funding. At the end of the year, a comprehensive evaluation will be done on the program so that we can learn, Listen and act accordingly to make changes to the program by the coming year.
With your kind donations, we have been achieved this much and can do more to empower more of our youths and also our women in the rural communities and thus see the impact you are making their lives through our reports.
