Train Women & Youths in Nigeria on Wealth Creation

Dear Family, Friends and Supporters of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation,

There is a clear and imminent danger of hunger and poverty that is looming all over the world and more in developing countries. Back home in Nigeria, the recent fuel subsidy removal, the insecurity and the rising cost of Inflation has made many homes go hungry at night. The situation is dire but we would not lose hope hence changing our food systems in the way we know best. Ensuring we teach young would be farmers, existing farmers on how to grow sustainable production on vegetables, how to handle post harvest loss and income generation on vegetable value chain.

A face to face training for Cohort two was done in BON Hotel Kano for 12 participants (six females and six males), after the training fruit trees were given to them to practice taking care of and training modules shared to them on the training where after six months they will be evaluated on what they were taught and progress thus far.

The bottom to top model approach we are using is proving to be effective as from the monitoring activities we recently conducted on the first face to face cohort has been impactful. Other hybrid programs we implemented are gradually showing positive changes as well.

With your kind donations, we have thus far trained over 50 farmers and will do more before the year 2023 runs out and will do more to empower more of our women and youths.
