Graduates and active students June 2023

We are so happy to report that we had a total of 10 new graduates in the school year 2022-2023! We would like to share a few of their thank you words from their graduating speeches with you:

"Every seminar, event, and every chance they give me, like participating in a scientific summer abroad meant a lot to me.

Being part of GSP not only meant financial support for my career but a big opportunity to belong to a family that provided me with strength and inspiration to trust in my abilities and always give my best effort. The people I met taught me valuable lessons and created many fun and memorable moments." -Linda, Marine Biology graduate. (second from left in photo 3)

"In Mexico, of every 100 students, around 79 are those who do not finish university, according to the Panorama of Education study by The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in 2017. With a lot of effort and dedication, today I can tell you that I am not part of that statistic. Hello, my name is Patricia, I am 23 years old, I am a Civil Engineer and today I come to talk to you about how to believe in myself, changed my life.

The first time I heard about the Green Scholarship program, I was 14 years old, I asked all my questions about how the organization worked and how they would help me achieve what I wanted most, study a university degree. And at that age, I had decided, I would get the scholarship. When I turned 17 and it was time to choose my university major, I knew that it would not be easy to study Civil Engineering and work at the same time, so I applied for the scholarship.

When I was accepted in the program, I made several commitments, not to fail the scholarship, not to fail my parents and not to fail myself. I would be a Civil Engineer and I would learn English. When I thought about learning English, I was afraid of the language, but at the same time I enjoyed listening to music and watching movies in their original language, so understanding this without the need for subtitles was an idea that really excited me, thanks to the scholarship I can say that I have learned enough of the language, and perhaps what is more important, I have learned to communicate. Having the support of GSP gave me security, knowing that my only obligation was to study and get good grades at my university as well as in my English courses, allowed me to enjoy my learning process much more.

I will always be grateful to Green Scholarship program for choosing me, supporting me and giving me the best tools to be an integral professional, on the other hand, I want to thank my parents for all their effort and love, you have worked so hard and thanks to that, I am here today." - Patricia, Civil Engineeering graduate.(photo 2)

Aside from these two amazing girls, we had a Medicine graduate, a Graphic designer, two Psychologist, two Business Administrators, a Criminologist and a Foreign Languages major.

These students could have not achieve their dreams without your generous support.

Thank you very much from all of us at Green Scholarship Program!
