This project is located at Kikuyu ward in Dodoma region of Tanzania, Project will empower 180 widows women and youth girls with tailoring skills. Upon of completion of six (6) months of training, 180 widow's and youth girls will receive sewing machines and accessories that will enable to generate income by startup tailors shops and support themselves and their families.
Widow's are victims of differences domestic violence abuse and stigma after death of their husbands especially by HIV/AIDS most of them are rejected by the families or communities. Widow's are still struggling to grab and retain properties such land, houses and livestock from family husbands and relatives. In most cases many Widows woman cannot afford the cost of school fees for their children; they don't have money to purchase school materials such as exercise books and uniforms.
Provide tailoring skills and sewing machines will reduce poverty among 180 widow's and youth girls from poor background, increase their financial independent and economic growth. Widows will establish small tailors industries even at home,further more widows and young girls will improve self esteem that will preventing them from domestic violence abuse and stigma from the families and communities
Project will brings together 180 widows and youth girls, provide entrepreneurship skills which will employ more widow's women and youth girls those who are direct and indirect beneficiaries . After training widows and youth girls will become self employed as a result of break out poverty, stop gender base violence and stigma because even widow women and young girls who did not go to school will be equipped with tailoring skills and unable to earn income to support their children's.
