By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader
Women in rural Uganda have the potential to transform their families and communities, yet many remain trapped in poverty due to limited access to vocational training, financial services, productive resources, and income-generating opportunities. Single mothers and caregivers of orphaned children are among the most vulnerable as unemployment, climate-related crop failures, and rising living costs continue to threaten their livelihoods. This project will provide entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, savings group support, business mentorship, and start-up livelihood resources to help women establish sustainable enterprises. Increased household income will improve nutrition, healthcare, children's education, and family resilience. By empowering women with the skills and resources they need to succeed, this project will reduce poverty, stimulate local economic growth, and create thriving communities where every family has the opportunity to prosper.
