Women in rural Uganda have the determination to overcome poverty, but limited access to vocational training, financial services, productive resources, and income opportunities prevents them from achieving lasting economic independence. Single mothers and caregivers of orphaned children face the greatest hardships as climate-related crop failures, rising living costs, and unemployment continue to threaten their livelihoods. This project will empower vulnerable women with entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, savings groups, business mentorship, and start-up livelihood resources to build sustainable enterprises. As women increase their incomes, families will enjoy better nutrition, healthcare, children's education, and stronger financial security. By investing in women today, donors will help break the cycle of poverty, stimulate local economic growth, strengthen resilient communities, and create opportunities that will benefit future generations.
