Migrants and survivors of human trafficking often return home with deep trauma, broken confidence, and no means to rebuild their lives. Many face stigma, unemployment, and re-exploitation. This project equips vulnerable migrants and trafficking survivors in Nigeria with essential life skills, vocational training, psychosocial support, and reintegration assistance to help them regain dignity, independence, and hope for a safer future.
Across Nigeria, thousands of young people and women are victims of irregular migration and human trafficking. After rescue or return, survivors face severe trauma and emotional distress, lack of employable skills or income opportunities, social stigma and rejection, and high risk of re-trafficking and exploitation. Without structured support, many survivors fall back into poverty and unsafe migration cycles.
The project will implement a holistic life-skills and reintegration program by providing life skills training (communication, financial literacy, decision-making), offering vocational and entrepreneurship training, delivering psychosocial counseling and trauma support, supporting job placement, small business start-ups, or apprenticeships, and conducting community reintegration and awareness sessions. This approach empowers survivors to rebuild confidence, earn a living, and live safely.
Survivors do not need pity; they need opportunity. Your support helps migrants and trafficking survivors heal, gain skills, earn income, and reclaim their dignity, breaking the cycle of exploitation and creating safer, stronger communities.
