We would like to thank all of our donors for the support given to this campaign. Every donation has made a difference in reaching our mission- to provide conceptual and hands on tools to adolescents, youth and young adults, leaders, institutions, and networks, in the promotion of the right to live a life free of violence.
Since 2003 many schools, organizations, adolescents, and adults have been working in this initiative towards promoting ideal interactions and acting against violence all over the country. In 2015, there were 120 public and private institutions that participated and were trained in the methodology of the Program. Also, more than 500 adolescents participated in our workshops.
Together we have been able to strengthen violence prevention networks and the promotion of caring actions not only in the institutions but their operators. We have done many public awareness campaigns in 14 departments of Uruguay and more than 1,000 volunteers have joined this cause.
Even though the campaign will still be running, we would like to inform that we are no longer raising funds for this initiative. The project will continue with funds that are provided by the Ministry of Tourism, ITAÚ Bank and INAU. At this time we are focusing all of energies in fund raising efforts for our other project, Uruguay against child sexual exploitation.
We are very grateful for all the support!
