In 2025, the AGAPE Training Center will provide vocational training in mechanics, welding, and fitting to 50 girls in North and South Kivu, DRC. These girls, survivors of war and violence, often turn to prostitution due to lack of education and opportunities. This project will give them the skills to achieve financial independence, restore dignity, and offer hope for a brighter future.
The ongoing conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has left thousands of girls vulnerable to exploitation, poverty, and violence. Many of these girls have been traumatized by war and are forced to abandon their education. With no support or opportunities, they often turn to prostitution to survive. The cycle of poverty, abuse, and violence is unbreakable without intervention, and without education or vocational skills, these girls have few chances to break free.
At AGAPE Training Center, we are providing these girls with the opportunity to learn marketable skills in mechanics, welding, and fitting-skills that are in high demand. By equipping them with these vocational skills, we offer them a path to financial independence. With this newfound ability to earn a living, these girls can support their families, escape the cycle of poverty, and regain a sense of dignity. This transformative training will not only change their lives but also provide long-term
The impact of this vocational training will ripple through the community. As these girls learn valuable skills and become financially independent, they will be able to support their families, send their siblings to school, and serve as role models for other young girls. This project fosters hope and resilience, ensuring that the next generation will have access to education and opportunities, breaking the cycle of violence, and contributing to a stronger, more empowered community in DRC.
