This report, friends, is going to be a short one... With this report what I want to remind you is the last winter... Remember the chilly winter mornings... Remember how you spent more than an hour cleaning up the snow on your car... Remember how many times you had to shovel in front of your house because otherwise it was impossible to walk in... Do you remember how you put layers on top of layers so you would not get cold? How many layers of socks did you wear the last time you walked out in snow? Did you buy a new coat? And, maybe another one in another color?
In couple of months it will start to snow again in the eastern part of Turkey. And, believe me when I tell you it WILL GET COLD. It will be freezing in the mornings, in the afternoon, and in the evenings. And, here is what we'll do to make these freezing days, weeks and moths just a little bit warmer for 1500 children: with your help and support we'll send 1500 pairs of boots and 1000 coats to the underprivileged children living in the Eastern parts of Turkey.
In short, this year we would like to repeat last year's success with our Boots4Kids project. Do you remember in 2013 we delivered 1,819 pairs of boots and socks to 24 schools?
Remember with a $15 dollars donation you could support a child... With a $60 dollars donation you could support 4 children... $150 dollars would buy boots to 10 children for this winter. If you were to decide to donate $600 dollars you would buy winter boots for all needy students in a rural village elementary school. Which amount you would choose is up to you... Just remember a pretty cold winter is before us.
