Across rural Indonesia, many disadvantaged women work hard every day, yet remain trapped in economic vulnerability because they lack access to skills, capital, and stable markets. Short-term assistance may help temporarily, but it does not change the future.

The Empower Disadvantaged Women with Sustainable Livelihoods project takes a different approach.

Instead of one-time aid, we support women to build sustainable livelihoods through skills training, mentoring, and community-based enterprises. This approach allows women to generate their own income, make informed decisions, and strengthen their role within their families and communities.

When livelihoods are built—not given:

• Women gain confidence and self-reliance

• Families become more economically secure

• Risks of exploitation and unsafe work decrease
