During 2025, the Uganda team continued supporting five local enterprises through the RISE programme. The support combined small business loans with practical mentorship, financial literacy guidance, webinars, and regular follow-up.
A key focus this year was helping entrepreneurs strengthen how they plan, manage, and grow their businesses. Through ongoing check-ins, the team was able to follow progress closely, discuss challenges as they came up, and support the entrepreneurs in making adjustments along the way.
The revolving loan model is also progressing. As entrepreneurs repay their loans, the funds can be used again to support new businesses, allowing the programme to continue creating opportunities beyond the first group of enterprises.
The Uganda team reports that this approach is helping entrepreneurs build more stable businesses and improve their prospects for long-term growth. Looking ahead, the aim is to keep strengthening the current enterprises while preparing to reach more entrepreneurs in the future.
