We are so happy to share the recent success stories of ACTION10 supported entrepreneurs in Uganda.
Josipart Gidudu (Eric Barber and Salon Hair Styling)
Josipart invested his loan in professional shaving machines and a manicure/pedicure set to capture a wider customer base. He has employed four new workers, specifically targeting marginalized groups like single mothers to promote financial independence.
Baluka Margaret (Good Harvest Farm)
Margaret used her funding to ensure a solid operational supply of broiler chickens to meet market demand. Her future plans include establishing a hatchery to reduce costs and supplying day-old chicks to the local community to support fellow farmers.
Isaac Chogoli (Electrical & Appliance Repair)
With over a decade of experience, Isaac provides affordable repair services for appliances like fridges and generators, which helps households save money and reduces environmental waste from dumping. He actively mentors technical college graduates to bridge the industry skills gap.
Enyacu Amos (Tomato & Vegetable Grower)
Amos transitioned from subsistence to small-scale commercial agriculture by leasing an acre of land and utilizing hybrid seeds and agricultural extension services. He aims to expand into external markets and produce value-added products like tomato sauce.
Naku Samalie (Sama Restaurant)
Samalie navigates business challenges by collaborating with four other women entrepreneurs and refreshing her menu seasonally to celebrate local culinary heritage. She plans to expand through catering services and digital marketing to showcase her workforce’s stories.
Stories like these drives our motivation to seek all possible solutions to help African entrepreneurs to excel.
