Heavy rain since 15 June has caused flooding and landslides in many parts of Nepal.About 7 districts mainly hills are more affected where more than 2000 people have been displaced and some are still missing.The death toll recorded till date are 7.Still the monsoon is continuing and remain few days.The displaced people stay in school and tent who urgently need foods,medicine,temporory latrine,sanitation,water,tents and temporory houses.Rescue process is continuing by government but not enough.
Major problems in the flood affected districts are urgently need for nutritious food,clean water,temporory shelters such as tents/tarpoulin,temporory latrine,health and sanitation measures.Few efforts from Government,local NGOs and Redcross involved for the rescues are not enough to meet the immediate need of fooding and shelters.So that proposed project will address to resolve the immediate need of nutritious fooding,sanitation and clean water.
As stated above,based on available resources the implementing organization will be immediteltely move to the affected districts and location.After reaching to the location contact the district disaster management committe,flood victims and government bodies for declaring the support and provide nutritious food, clean water,medicines,shelter materials,etc based on available resources for the particular district and location.
The potential long term impact of the project will be the availability of nutritious food,clean water and sanitation measures for the flood affected victims so that they will be able to overcome the immediate needs of fooding,shelter and healthy.This support in long term impact on sociopsycho treatment and overcome the stress and shocks.They are now facing hand to mouth problem,shelter problem and health and sanitation problem.The proposed project also motivate and counselling for better living
