Over the past months, Soy Niña has continued to strengthen and expand its impact across Costa Rica, advancing our mission to empower girls through safe, consistent, and high-quality programming.
Expanding Access: New Community Growth
We successfully expanded our programming into the Pavas community, launching Level I and establishing the operational, community, and facilitation foundations required to open Levels II and III in the near future. This expansion marks an important step in deepening our long-term presence and ensuring continuity of learning and emotional development for girls in the area.
Strategic Partnerships for Visibility and Advocacy
To commemorate International Day of the Girl, we executed a strategic partnership with Parque Diversiones, Costa Rica’s National Amusement Park. This collaboration elevated public awareness around girls’ rights and empowerment, amplifying our message to a broader national audience and reinforcing the importance of safe, joyful, and empowering spaces for girls.
Program Delivery at Scale
During this reporting period, we successfully executed 352 Club sessions across the communities of Pavas, Los Guido, Río Azul, and Desamparados, directly impacting more than 250 girls aged 6 to 18. These clubs provided structured, age-appropriate spaces focused on emotional well-being, leadership development, and gender equity, ensuring consistent engagement and meaningful outcomes across multiple territories.
Holistic Well-Being Through Expanded Partnerships
We expanded strategic partnerships that enabled participating girls to access essential health and prevention servicesthat would otherwise be out of reach. These initiatives included dental check-ups, vision screenings and eyeglasses, blood tests, nutrition education classes, and STEM workshops. By integrating health, prevention, and learning opportunities into our programming, Soy Niña strengthens girls’ overall well-being and removes barriers that limit their ability to learn, thrive, and lead.
Territorial Expansion Across Provinces
We finalized a partnership that will enable Soy Niña to expand into the Guararí community, strengthening our growth trajectory and extending our reach to three provinces in Costa Rica: San José, Cartago, and Heredia. This milestone reflects our commitment to scaling responsibly while maintaining program quality and community trust.
