By Izrael Antonio Perez Garcia | Izrael Perez Garcia

During these months in the communities of Chiapas we managed to carry out the following: A sports meeting at the “Rufino Tamayo” Telesecundaria School 427 in the community of Nuevo San Juan Chamula, municipality of Las Margaritas. With a participation of 58 women and 44 men making a total of 102 participants; where it seeks to create spaces for emotional and physical well-being in the youth of the communities, thus preventing gender violence and school dropout, the girls will once again participate through soccer teams, encouraging their leadership and creating safe spaces for them.

We held an awareness workshop on the theme of Managing Emotions, at the telesecundaria school 427 "Rufino Tamayo" in the community of Nuevo San Juan Chamula on May 25, 2023 with a total of 13 women and 4 men making a total of 27 participants, sharing techniques for conscious breathing and learning to live in the here and now enjoying everything that surrounds us, thus allowing us to recognize ourselves in our emotions to prevent gender violence and identify all those actions that cause us suffering, finding the way better suited to calm her down.

As in May 2023, a forum was held at the CECyTe 05 school in the municipality of San Juan Cancuc, with the theme: school dropout and promotion of healthy habits, focused on the prevention of gender violence. With the different themes:

The effect caused by the consumption of psychoactive substances.

violence against women

School dropout.

protection factor

The Forum's objective was to raise awareness about the consumption of psychoactive substances and prevent school dropout and violence against women.

CECyTE 05, San Juan Cancuc, had the participation of 58 women and 55 men, with a total of 113 young people.

In the Chiloljá community, San Juan Cancuc, a discussion was held with a group of women and young people from the COBACH 175 school, emphasizing the issue of rights and gender violence. where it had the purpose of publicizing their rights of youth, as well as the guarantors of the right, this due to the fact that there is a lot of violence against women in general, due to the fact of not knowing their rights, where 9 women participated and 3 men.

In the municipality of San Pedro Chenlaho, the JAP initiative (Youth Helping the Planet) made up of 8 members; 4 men and 4 women, it is a group of youth initiatives of CECyTE 18, they seek to sensitize young people from the care of our mother nature and maintain a clean and healthy space, for a healthy coexistence and free of violence.
