Emotional exhaustion, loss of enthusiasm, decreased self-efficacy are the main symptoms of Burn Out, Vicarious Trauma or Compassion Fatigue, which add to physical, mental and emotional suffering from chronic stress associated with professionals dedicated to the care of others. Although the Mayama team can be classified as operational and administrative, we believe that as long as attention is paid to the mental health of the collaborators, it will be directly reflected in the detriment or improvement in the fulfillment of the institutional mission and in this sense in the Quality of care that our children receive and the positive impact on improving their quality of life.

On this occasion we want to share our donors, a project that happens "behind the scenes", but we consider key that they know because if you are part of Mayama (with its constant support to the development of our 240 children we currently attend), Less that Mayama can do, is to co-invest (be co-responsible) with the health of the team that cares for the children.

This project that we share today, has been implemented during 2017, and is a mental health program for employees that covers the main aspects for the care and prevention of human suffering: physical, mental and emotional; Through oriental techniques: 1) Yoga (physical), 2) Ki-Gong (mental) active meditation, 3) Korean techniques and manopression (emotional) and 4) social integration strategies throughout 2017 .

The process started slowly (physically speaking), to detect illnesses. For example: after circular movements with the neck, palpate cervical area number 7, exercises that include sitting on the floor with legs bent at 90 degrees, lifting one leg at 90 degrees lying down, folding arm stretched towards body, touching jaw, base of the tongue; The group diagnosis at the moment throws team of collaborators of MAYAMA A.C. has problems of stress, lack of flexibility, back neck strain, feet, obesity, anxiety, exhaustion and physical and emotional fatigue. However, within the positive changes to 5 months of implementation, is that the collaborators mention have decreased headaches, stress, there is greater concentration, energy and more importantly: greater awareness of the emotional, physical and spiritual care of each one.

Do you consider this project important for the care of our children?

Thank you very much!.
