Casa sin Fronteras is excited to start 2024 with face-to-face and virtual activities. We have had the opportunity to publicize our services and activities in different media, radio, television, press, podcasts, and information tables in different activities in the northern region of Puerto Rico. We are grateful for all of these outlets that give us this opportunity to promote what we do in the community.
We have offered virtual workshops open to the general public: Shine from Within Workshop: a Valentine's Day of self-care, in which we encourage the self-management of emotions; Defining Boundaries Workshop, to explore boundaries on a personal level. As a preamble to the 3rd Symposium of Artistic-Creative Therapies we offered a virtual Movement Meeting, exploring techniques of Dance Movement Therapy.
On March 9th we celebrated the 9th Day of Artistic-Creative Therapies with art, music, movement, and drama workshops for everyone in the family. It was a morning of fraternization, learning, and joy, uniting different generations in the activities. Several businesses that have participated in our business training workshops offered their products to the delight of all.
For third year in a row, we held the Symposium on Artistic-Creative Therapies: Building Bridges to Emotional Health. We had special guests from Puerto Rico, Argentina, Spain, and the Dominican Republic who shared their experiences practicing Dance Movement Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, and Drama Therapy with different populations. We thank the more than 30 people who connected to participate in the virtual workshops.
In our community we continue to give face-to-face Music Therapy workshops. This time we were invited by the Judicial Center of Utuado to share with their administrative assistants a very pleasant morning. Students from the Eugenio María de Hostos School in the Garrochales neighborhood of Arecibo were also participating in a series of Music Therapy workshops. The elementary level students put into practice different techniques of personal growth using music as a vehicle and instrument and guided by the Music Therapist Adriana. Contact us if you are interested in coordinating these workshops for your group or community.
We continue to offer psychological and professional counseling services. We also have a psychologist who performs psychometric, psychological, and psychoeducational tests. Call to make your appointment. We appreciate your contributions that make all this work possible.
