Train and empower rural women, particularly female heads of household who are parents of our scholarship students to strengthen their income generating ability and financial situation. Over time, this will help families "graduate " from needing scholarship assistant, and open room for new students in the program. This support will provide a revolving loan between (200UD-400USD for a period of 6-12 months to 15 female heads of household to start with
Rural women particularly female heads of household are faced with multiple challenges, ranging from lack of access to financial resources, technical and income creation skills, little access to information on scholarship for their kids, , access to banks and loan opportunities in these circumstances. The Project intends to create income generating activities and strengthen their ability to create wealth and increase their businesses.
Train and empower rural heads of household women to strengthen and provide additional income generating opportunities. This support will be in form of providing a revolving loan between (200UD-400USD). This amount will be given to heads of house to improve their businesses and create income to further sustain their families and communities.
IDA-Liberia seeks to improve economic status of rural heads of household and their families through business skills and revolving loan scheme. The project will train and empower (10-20) women improve their income generating activities and create wealth through small business initiatives and women's empowerment. This will showcase and add the value that women bring to supporting education and be able to take on the responsibility of supporting their families and children in school.
