Hello! I'm Skye, and I'm working to empower local nonprofits in Ukraine and the Balkan nations with the tools and support they need to expand their impact for the communities they serve. As GlobalGiving's Eastern Europe 2017 Field Traveler, I will work with 40 organizations on the ground, conducting site visits and providing hands-on training and access to our global network of tools and fundraising resources. The social sector is constantly globalizing, and nonprofits must work extra hard to secure funds for their causes. Although I have invested my own savings, more financial support from donors like you will offer a sustainable supplement to traditional methods for philanthropic enterprises. Our nonprofit partners are in need of access to these tools and resources in order to optimize their fundraising strategy. By donating to my work, you help partners expand and deepen their local impact.
When you invest in my Field Travel work, you provide a face for our local nonprofits who are functioning in a largely virtual community. I am essential in supporting this ever growing network. I will be connecting 40 of our organizations to this strong global web of donors, which enables local leaders to operate more effectively and efficiently. Through the GlobalGiving platform and the many learning tools I will be providing, our partners can raise funds and better serve their communities.
The one-on-one support, development and fundraising tools provided during my site visits and workshops, due to your contributions will ensure that our local nonprofit partners continue to learn and grow. This in turn allows them to become increasingly engaged and effective. Focusing on local leaders and their community programs allows us to entrust social change to those who know best. This work is rapidly changing the way people think about giving back.
