Dear Donor,
Throughout the year within the ESSYS program, spaces for meetings and conversations were created with the program participants. These sessions were followed by playful dynamics designed to foster group cohesion, a sense of belonging, bonding, and communication, with the intention of addressing various issues that affect women. Some of the topics covered included entrepreneurship, social and solidarity economy, balancing family, childhood, and work, creating the best possible product, and how to market products, among others.
The sewing workshop aimed to provide women with basic knowledge on the use of sewing tools, as well as techniques for cutting, pattern making, textile creation, and clothing repairs. The content included machine use and care, measurements, patterns, embroidery, stitches, and the process of garment making and repairs. The Ludoteca space was created for the children who attended with the women, offering a play area with various activities that encouraged creativity, discovery, expression, and movement, always under the guidance of educators. This space allowed women to participate in training knowing their children were cared for by a professional team. In October and November, 75 bags were made for the graduates of the Centros de Primera Infancia.
