Angelica is the main coordinator of Mujeres Oxlajuj E, amaranth cooperative. Raised in the countryside by rural parents, she was brought up to be conscious of saving seeds and growing food sustainably.
Now, she dedicates herself to running the cooperative, organizing women's empowerment trainings and speaking out about violance against women in her community. She was featured in the national newspaper for speaking out about the cases of violence against women in her district.
Thanks to women like Angelica, educating and organizing women to make their own income in harmony with earth and with respect to their rights, Angelica is a groundbreaker that ATC is very proud to work with.
