Mariam one of the mentees says:
“The impact of Nor Luyce on my life is immeasurable. It’s like my life has been split into two chapters – before Nor Luyce and after. Everything here is designed to guide us, from building emotional strength to providing knowledge for life. Nor Luyce also introduced us to successful individuals who shared their journeys and secrets to success. I owe almost all of my accomplishments to Nor Luyce. The growth I’ve experienced, thanks to my mentor Lusine and the entire Nor Luyce team, shapes who I am today. Here, education, meaningful leisure, and human values are prioritized, teaching us to love, respect, and care for others. I am forever grateful to my beloved Nor Luyce. ”
The second quarter of the 2024-2025 program year at Nor Luyce was highly successful, with a total of 1,022 hours of individual mentoring sessions, allowing teenage girls to connect with mentors, share experiences, and develop strategies to overcome life challenges. During these sessions, mentees explored their fears and anxieties, learning ways to address the challenges of adolescence through exercises and discussions on topics like self-esteem, emotional awareness, and fear management. They also participated in a New Year's event, discovering how different countries celebrate the holiday. Throughout the quarter, mentees worked on identifying their strengths, weaknesses, and goals, completing individual worksheets and engaging in 12 hours of group meetings filled with interactive activities. Mentors participated in 8 hours of ongoing training, covering topics like parenting, bullying, suicidal thoughts, self-care, and more, which helped enhance their effectiveness. In the Skills Development stage, mentees attended 16 hours of group meetings focused on career guidance, CV writing, job applications, and interview skills, while also participating in a New Year's quest game designed to foster innovative thinking. The Higher Education phase saw mentees attend 2 hours of motivational meetings with a blogger and two well-known Armenian actors, and also enjoy a Secret Santa gift exchange. General group meetings, focusing on learning, studying, and healthy living, provided mentees with the opportunity to bond and build friendships, while 6 hours of entertainment sessions, including motivational films and games, added fun to the quarter. With over 205 mentors and 470 mentees participating, the second quarter proved to be an engaging and fruitful period.
