Highlights from the First Quarter of the Year

This program year has been nothing short of transformative for both our mentees and mentors. Here's how we’ve created lasting impact:

• 22 Hours of Mentorship in Action: Through engaging group meetings, mentees connected with mentors, formed bonds, and began their journey toward self-discovery. Over 368 hours of one-on-one mentorship have helped young women explore their identities, uncover their strengths, and take meaningful steps toward self-confidence and personal growth.
• Skill-Building for the Future: Our Skills Development mentees participated in 20 hours of workshops covering essential topics like academic writing, presentation skills, healthy living, and proper hygiene. A visit to the ATP Environmental Center in Lori introduced mentees to environmental stewardship and endangered plant species, sparking curiosity and responsibility for Armenia’s natural heritage.
• Mentor Training & Growth: Mentors underwent 10 hours of foundational training and participated in 16 hours of interactive group activities with mentees. These sessions enhanced their mentorship skills, creating stronger connections with mentees.
• Inspiring Higher Education Mentees: Over 10 hours of tailored workshops provided practical tools for academic and career success. Special sessions featured two bloggers, one singer, and two actors who motivated our mentees with their success stories, encouraging them to dream big.
• Building Lifelong Bonds: More than 12 hours of combined group activities for our Mentoring and Skills Development mentees fostered friendships, collaboration, and mutual support.

Expanding Our Reach

This quarter, over 50 mentors and 130 mentees engaged in meaningful interactions, workshops, and events designed to build confidence, skills, and a sense of community.

Nor Luyce program empowers not only mentees but also mentors. This is what mentors say: "Nor Luyce Mentoring Center is a dynamic and innovative NGO dedicated to fostering personal growth in teenagers. Each participant receives tailored support to meet their individual needs. At Nor Luyce, mentees begin a transformative journey with their mentors, during which they often overcome negative traits, gain professional direction, connect with influential figures, prepare for academic challenges, and receive essential psychological support. The center also prioritizes the professional development of its mentors, enhancing their analytical skills and expanding their perspectives."

In the last quarter, Nor Luyce Mentoring Center celebrated significant milestones in our mission to foster personal and professional growth among our mentees. We conducted 665 individual meetings totaling 1,330 hours, focusing on stabilizing self-esteem, managing emotions, and setting non-conflict goals. Additionally, we held 40 group meetings covering 80 hours, where mentees discussed mutual support, emotional expression, goal setting, and public speaking, with many giving their first-ever public presentations.

We prioritized skill development, offering an 8-day advanced computer course that equipped mentees with essential Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills. Our talented mentees and mentors also showcased their creative abilities through beautiful handicrafts and paintings. Meetings enriched the mentees’ appreciation of national culture, health awareness, and clear career path definitions. They created and presented career guidelines to peers and staff, demonstrating significant progress.

The quarter was marked by exciting visits and collaborations, with nine informative and entertaining outings to universities, colleges, a zoo, and a cola factory. We also hosted famous guests and bloggers who inspired and motivated our mentees, establishing valuable industry connections. For mentors, comprehensive training sessions covered projective tests, manipulation, and criminal psychology studies, ensuring they are well-equipped to support their mentees. This quarter has been transformative for both mentees and mentors, showcasing the power of dedicated support and continuous learning.
