Our program empowers cancer children in South Africa and Africa who are in the fight for their lives. They go through lengthy and sometimes painful treatments, alone and hungry. We empower them through Martial arts moments, breathing and meditation techniques which enable them to take control over their pain, fear and frustration. As they focus on their breathing during their painful procedures, they have the ability to keep their mind & body calm which makes the scary procedures less traumatic
So many Cancer children in South Africa & Africa come from underprivileged communities. Numerous times they go through their Cancer journey alone and hungry. The parents live in outer regions and can't afford to visit as they need to continue working to ensure income. This means they can't be with their children in the hospital while they undergo treatment. The children sometimes travel alone and arrive at the hospital without food and no support.
Our Martial Arts Therapists are trained to give uplifting classes online and in the hospitals to ultimately support the children emotionally & physically through our breathing and meditation techniques. This lowers their pain and gives them a sense of control over their dreadful journey. Our visits are received with smiling children and grateful parents. We also supply food parcels to the starving children and their immediate family on our visits to the hospitals in order to extend our support.
The continuation of our program not only supply food to these suffering & hungry children but also empowers them during & long after their cancer journey. Our meditation & breathing techniques are a skill that can be applied by young and old to any stressful, anxious or painful situation. It elevates their quality of life and the ability to take control of any challenges life could bring. Along with our uplifting instructors they receive entertainment, love and support during this lonely journey
