Project Report | Sep 1, 2023
This year is almost over

By Margarita Pilier | Project Coordinator

Dear Donor, please receive a warm greeting. Thank you for your donation ! It really makes a difference for the female artisans that our project supports.

Thanks to your generosity and social awareness, these women are being empowered by stimulating their self-esteem and potential for self-development , in an entrepreneurial project to improve their living conditions and those of their families.

Empowering women is giving them access to fully participate in all sectors and at all levels of economic activity and it is critical to building strong economies.

Objectives of Women's Empowerment

• Build strong economies

• Establish more stable and just societies

• Achieve internationally agreed development, sustainability and human rights goals

• Improve the quality of life of women, men, families and communities.

• Promote business practices and goals

Our social initiative undoubtedly this is aligned with those objectives since it contributes to the reduction of poverty levels and promotes the socioeconomic development of the artisans through the creation of capacities.

This project continues to empower women in situations of social vulnerability; through training, boosting their self-esteem and potential for self-realization, in an entrepreneurship program to improve their living conditions.

This social initiative shows as one of its main achievements the design and elaboration of high-quality differentiated products that meet environmental protection criteria, through the revaluation of traditional ways of handling raw materials and presentation of sustainable management options (recycling of plastic bags)

As a foundation, we continue supporting artisans by making it possible to sell their handicrafts at the stores of the Fundación Grupo Puntacana, Puntacana Resort and Club and some stores at the Punta Cana International Airport, as part of the marketing strategies.

This year is almost over and the artisans continue to experience a good level of sales what is the result of the aforementioned actions and the constant growth of the tourism industry, which contributes to the increase in demand for their handicrafts  As usual, the incomes are distributed among them and a part is allocated for administrative expenses of the association of artisans.

They are also preparing to participate in upcoming events by enriching their offer of handicrafts with new designs and carrying out activities that foster cooperation, harmony, communication and trust among team members.

We look forward to a continuing partnership with you.

We will keep you informed about the progress of the project. If you have any comment, advice or question, please feel free to direct them to us and we will answer as best we can.

Thank you again

Best wishes,
