Empowering 43 female artisans in DR

Dear Donor, please receive a warm greeting. Thank you for your donation ! It really makes a difference for the female artisans that our project supports.. 

They have become microentrepreneurs that in turn contribute to the sustainable development of their communities. 

The project continues to empower women in situations of social vulnerability; through training, boosting their self-esteem and potential for self-realization, in an entrepreneurship program to improve their living conditions. 

This social initiative shows as one of its main achievements the design and elaboration of high-quality differentiated products that meet environmental protection criteria, through the revaluation of traditional ways of handling raw materials and presentation of sustainable management options (recycling of plastic bags) 

 As a foundation, we continue supporting artisans by making it possible to sell their handicrafts at the stores of the Fundación Grupo Puntacana, Puntacana Resort and Club and some stores at the Punta Cana International Airport, as part of the marketing strategies. 

We continue taking actions to ensure the handicrafts are seen, noticed, and recognized by consumers and audiences. The more exposure they have, the more it can grow awareness, its customer base and revenue. 

Positive exposure can mean increased visibility and sales.  Positive aspects of the exposure:

•  Increased Market Reach: Handicrafts can be showcased on a wider scale through reaching new markets and audiences. 

• Brand Recognition: Exposing handicrafts can help establish a brand and build a reputation for quality.  

• Economic Benefits: Handicraft industries contribute to economic development by providing employment and income opportunities, especially in underserved areas. In this case it contributes to the economic growth of the female artisans . 

In the last months the project has provided the advisory and logistical support for their participation in bazaars, fairs and various events.  They participated by setting up an exhibition stand in: 

• Corales Puntacana Championship PGA Tour 2025  
• DATE 2025 (Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange)
