Empowering 43 female artisans in DR

Dear Donor, please receive a warm greeting. Thank you for your donation ! It really makes a difference for the female artisans that our project supports.. 

Thanks to your generosity and social awareness this project continues to empower women in situations of social vulnerability; through training, boosting their self-esteem and potential for self-realization, in an entrepreneurship program to improve their living conditions. 

This social initiative shows as one of its main achievements the design and elaboration of high-quality differentiated products that meet environmental protection criteria, through the revaluation of traditional ways of handling raw materials and presentation of sustainable management options (recycling of plastic bags). 

 As a foundation, we continue supporting artisans by making it possible to sell their handicrafts at the stores of the Fundación Grupo Puntacana, Puntacana Resort and Club and some stores at the Punta Cana International Airport, as part of the marketing strategies.

In the last months the project has provided the advisory and logistical support for their participation in various events.  They participated by setting up an exhibition stand in:

•  ADOEXPO 2025 Golf Tournament (Dominican Exporters Association)
•  The ASONAHORES 2025 Trade Show (National Association of Hotels and Restaurants).   It has been this organization's flagship event for over 30 years. It is aimed at national and international suppliers of products that benefit the operations and services of Dominican tourism establishments. They provide firsthand exposure to industry decision-makers who attend as buyers.

 The artisans continue to experience a good level of sales what is the result of the aforementioned actions and the constant growth of the tourism industry, which contributes to the increase in demand for their handicrafts,and the ever-increasing exposure they have gained through the participation in key events.   As usual, the incomes are distributed among them and a part is allocated for administrative expenses of the association of artisans. 

They are also preparing to participate in upcoming events by enriching their offer of handicrafts with new designs.
