We are extremely grateful of the support received by so many donors within the GlobalGiving platform and abroad.
Our work in the solarization of Culebra was stalled during a year due to discrepancies with the main federal funder. However, during this period we have been able to maintain an open conversation with the Culebra Community, as well as with the federal funder.
We have signed a new agreement to move the work forward and we’ve already secured +15 critical businesses.
We have brought on board a Culebra non-profit, as an on-the ground collaborator to understand the current status of the businesses.
We hope that the federal funder will give the go ahead for the project to start construction of the solar energy infrastructure in the next two months. At that point we will be able to share the progress and some other good news leading to the energy empowerment of Culebra.
