Project Report | Oct 7, 2019
Wow We are in the last quarter of the 2019!

By Louise | Jack of all trades, master of none!

Welcome to the KTD196 Community, thank you all for your continued support.

THANK YOU is just such an overused and pathetic word to convey the world of difference you have all made to all of the children KTD196 is mentoring. I want to welcome all our brand new supporters and acknowledge all of our on going supporters. You are all amazing, we are unable to do this work without you!

What that means to us is that we can continue with our services to the 100's orphaned and vulnerable children we serve.

What that means is for the next few month 9 staff will be able to continue to work with approximately 1,500 children in the rural areas. That means travelling to the villages, implementing the program, changing lives!

Throughout this year, inconjunction with Scouts, we are working on the Millennium Development goals of Literacy, poverty alleviation and food security.

- We have  been able to deliver child based, age appropriate newspapers filled with stories for the children to read to their parents and their gogo’s (grandparents) and also to the younger children who are not old enough to read yet. This inspires a culture of learning and reading that South Africa badly needs.

-We also able to implementing our Food Garden program for 600 children, so we can assist with reducing Stunting. Currently 40% of South African children (particularly those in the rural areas where poverty is extreme) suffer from Stunting. This project teachs the children how to make permaculture door sized food gardens and give them all the skills to be able to feed their families and selves for life!

-As part of the Food Garden project they will be able to make two gardens, one for sale and one for self to assist their families with food security and poverty alleviation.

Thank you so much!

Thank you THANK YOU THANK YOU, God bless you all for helping us save lives and futures for the children we serve.

Bless you

Louise
